46 Days to Go
Nine weeks ago, I began this journey in the 46th District. At the time, I knew the campaign would be extremely difficult. Challenging a 27-year incumbent would be no easy task. I knew our City was primed and ready for a new generation of leaders to step up and challenge the status quo, but I heard over and over that the risks may be too large to overcome. Nine weeks ago, many stakeholders worried that the power of incumbency was too immense to overcome to change the trajectory of our City.
Today, 46 days from election day, we are telling a very different story about what is possible in Baltimore. We've motivated and energized an amazing corps of volunteers. We've worked our tails off to knock on over 7,000 doors. We've turned heads and gained the support of major political advocacy groups. We've motivated the progressive reform community to recognize the value of investing in this race. And, right now, 46 days from the 46th District's election day, we are in a position to win this race.
Let me make this clear: If we have the financial resources to broadly broadcast our message of opportunity to 46th District voters over the next 46 days, we will change our City's future.
